Bangalore: With a view to reach newborns in medically underserved areas, doctors from the St. John’s Medical College Hospital in collaboration with scientists at the Indian Institute of Science have developed a low cost device to screen newborns for hearing impairment.

The hospital said the tool will facilitate affordable screening of infants, especially in rural areas. - Staff Reporter
