Central Zone takes first innings lead

Palakkad: Central Zone, after taking a vital first innings lead of 40 runs, had North Zone struggling at 63 for five in its second essay on the second day of the three-day KCA under-22 inter-zonal cricket match at the Fort Maidan here on Thursday.

The scores: North Zone 127 & 63 for five in 30 overs vs. Central Zone 167 in 79 overs (Ajay Jayakumar 47, M.P. Manu four for 58).
