Insurance meet on Sept. 22

VIZIANAGARAM: The general conference of Insurance Corporation Employees Union, Visakhapatnam division, will be held at Ananda Gajapathi Auditorium here on September 22.

About 130 delegates from the three north coastal Andhra districts would attend the conference, according to ICEU zonal general secretary B. B. Ganesh.

At a press conference here on Thursday, he said that N.M. Sundaram, president, All-India Insurance Emloyees Union would inaugurate the conference. He also announced a reception committee with Chaganti Tulasi, noted writer, as chairperson and P. Srinivasa Rao as convenor. He said that in spite of stiff competition from private insurance companies the LIC had regained 3 per cent market share from its competitors. The corporation achieved a growth rate of 118 per cent , he added.
