Kakinada: Union Minister of State for Defence M. M. Pallam Raju said that the entire rural economy would undergo a see change soon with the welfare schemes and developmental programmes initiated by both State and Central governments yielding desired results. Addressing a function at Sampara village of Pedapudi mandal after inaugurating a Rs.27-lakhs NABaRD-aided cement concrete road on Monday, he said, efforts were being made to improve the quality of life and also the quality of education, thereby taking the country on the path of progress. The Minister distributed Rs.44,000 being the amount reimbursed toward `Pavala vaddee’ to 54 self-help groups. Pallamraju inaugurated additional classrooms constructed under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan at a cost of Rs.4.5 lakhs in Kandregula village and ZP school building constructed at a coast of Rs.7.25 lakhs in Sahapuram village.
