Deve Gowda should retire: Nanje Gowda

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The former Minister and MP H.N. Nanje Gowda has said that the former Prime Minister and national president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda should retire from politics in the interest of his kin who are in politics

He told presspersons here on Friday that the people of the State were tired of the political machinations of Mr. Deve Gowda and this would not augur well for his two sons.

Mr. Nanje Gowda said that the Janata Dal (Secular) should stand by the commitment made to the Bharatiya Janata Party and hand over charge on October 3. “With 79 legislators at his command, B.S. Yediyurappa agreed to be Deputy Chief Minister for the first 20 months and it will be improper if the Janata Dal (Secular) prevents him from taking reins after having led the Government,” he said.
