Car festival at Kanipakam

Chittoor: The temple town of Kanipakam, abode of Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy, witnessed unprecedented number of devotees for the car festival held on Saturday in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams. The processional deity, placed on a beautifully decorated chariot, was dragged by the devotees around the streets of the sacred temple amid chanting of hymns and Vedas. -Correspondent
