Virender stars in Youngsters’ win

NEW DELHI: Virender scored two goals as Youngsters Club beat Sonnet Club 4-2 in a super league match of the Delhi State Clubs’ hockey championship at the Shivaji Stadium here on Saturday.

Youngsters led 3-1 at half-time with Santosh and Shyambir scoring. Mayank Singh and Deepak were the marksmen for Sonnet.

In the other matches, Metropolitan Club defeated Hoshiarpur Club 1-0 and Matharu Club beat Stance Club 3-1. — Principal Correspondent
