VIJAYAWADA: Tamil Nadu defeated Andhra by an innings and 92 runs in the South Zone senior women’s cricket tournament at Anantapur on Sunday, according to information reaching here.

The scores: Andhra 80 & 48 in 28.4 overs (P. Kamini five for nine, Kamakshi three for nine) lost to Tamil Nadu 220 for four decl. in 50 overs (P. Kamini 84, Niranjana 81 n.o.).

Kerala 65 & 135 in 86.3 overs (Mamata Maben five for eight) lost to Karnataka 219 for four decl. in 67 overs (Karuna Jain 88).

Hyderabad 166 for nine decl. bt Goa 55 in 45.3 overs (Daina David four for eight) & 42 in 46.5 overs (Archana Das four for nine, Sravanthi Naidu three for 17).
