HYDERABAD: State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bandaru Dattatreya on Tuesday called upon partymen to re-dedicate themselves to practising ideals prescribed by the founder of the erstwhile Jan Sangh, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. At a function to celebrate Deendayal’s 92nd birth anniversary, Mr. Dattatreya recalled how Deendayal Upadhyaya wanted to be known as just a party functionary while giving a new direction to Indian politics. September 25 would forever be an unforgettable day, he said, urging them to playing a key role in politics with honesty and selflessness. On the issue of Ramar Sethu, the BJP leader said it was regrettable that forces that did not practice spiritual values wanted to destroy it in the name of creating a new shipping channel.
