NEW DELHI: Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday said that the increase in the number of medical seats from 75 to 100 at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgradute Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) would be applicable from the next academic year (2008-09) and not the current session as announced last week. “Due to administrative reasons, the enhanced admissions in this Institute will take effect from the academic year 2008-09 onwards,” a statement issued by the Ministry said.
