Manmohan turns 75

New Delhi: President Pratibha Patil and a host of other leaders greeted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who turned 75 on Wednesday.

Vice-President Mohd Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee greeted the Prime Minister over the phone.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi drove to the Prime Minister’s residence to wish him, a PMO spokesman said. The dignitaries also sent bouquets to Singh, who is recovering after a prostate surgery and has been functioning from home since last week. — PTI
