Judicial probe ordered into teacher’s death

KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Thursday announced a judicial inquiry into the mysterious death of computer graphics teacher Rizwanur Rahman, 30, whose body was found by the side of the railway track near here on September 21. The announcement came two days after Mr. Bhattacharjee had ordered the State’s Criminal Investigation Department to probe the incident, which has snowballed into a political issue and drawn the attention of various human rights groups as well as the State Human Rights Commission.
