Houses for slum dwellers: Kolagatla

VIZIANAGARAM: MLA Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy has announced that G + 1 house would be constructed under Indiramma programme at Chinna Gedda Veedhi, Sunkara Veedhi and Thotapalem soon.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Mr. Swamy said that all the eligible beneficiaries, living in rented houses and huts would be allotted houses. However, those hut dwellers, paying property tax to the municipality and owning pattas would not be sanctioned houses, he clarified.

He appealed to all the political parties to hand over the list of eligible beneficiaries to the Collector. The houses would be sanctioned irrespective of party affiliations and only after official verification, he said and added that Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana had given him the assurance in this respect.

On the appeal for Government grants for Sri Pydithalli Ammavari Jaatara, he, while refuting Opposition criticism on age-old beliefs, said that there would not be any deviation from the past traditions.
