Train derails during trial run

Srinagar: A train with three bogies got derailed on Saturday during a trial run on the Qazigund-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link near Ompora railway station in Budgam district. The ambitious rail link was launched by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2002 and is scheduled to be operational by next year.

There was no loss of life or damage to the train. -- PTI
