Sagarbhanga HS in semifinals

NEW DELHI: Four goals by Malswan powered Sagarbhanga High School (Durgapur) to a 9-0 victory over KT High School (Bishnupur, Manipur) in the under-17 quarterfinals of the Subroto Cup junior football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday. Rammoulik (2), Pipendu Dware (2) and Sanjoy scored the other goals for the West Bengal team.

In the under-14 section, Army Boys Company (Shillong) scored a 3-2 triumph over Marian Hills Higher Secondary School (Jawai, Meghalaya). Durasuraj, Parnay Rai and Rishi Kumare scored for the winner.

Sailang Kynjing and Reading Kurbah were successful for the loser.

In another match in the same section, Hmar Veng Higher Secondary School (Kolasib, Mizoram) scored a 7-0 victory over Don Bosco School (Mumbai) thanks mainly to the sharp shooting of Nunpuia and Lalnummawia who scored five goals between them.
