Hike in salaries sought

Madanapalle: Workers of the Central Sericulture Board demanded increase in their salaries. In a press note issued here on Wednesday, the sericulture workers’ leaders Venkata-ramana and Krishna Murthy said that though the Central Cloth Department had recommended a monthly salary of Rs. 5,436 for each worker, it was not implemented. —Correspondent
