SHORTCUT: Schoolchildren and villagers from about 10 villages, including Ponnada, have to spend more than an hour travelling up to 15 km to reach Srikakulam due to lack of a bridge across the Nagavali. Instead, they cross the river by a boat that brings them near the Collector’s bungalow.
