Bangalore: A debt-ridden farmer committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Kumbalgodu, off Mysore Road, in Bidadi police station limits in Ramanagara district, the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency on Tuesday evening. The Bidadi police have registered a case. The police identified the deceased as Kadare Gowda (50). In another incident, a farmer poisoned and killed his son and later committed suicide in Belludi village in Harihar taluk in Davangere district on Tuesday. According to the police, Beerappa (40) who had availed himself of loans from private financiers could not repay the loan amount following crop failure.
