MDMK rally

CHENNAI: The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) will take out a rally at Pollachi on October 5 to protest against the Railway Ministry’s decision to annexe the Pollachi-Kinathukadavu stretch with the Palghat division.

Terming it an injustice to Tamil Nadu, an MDMK press release said the Pollachi-Dindigul metre gauge line had not been converted to broad gauge despite requests.

The rally would be led by party general secretary Vaiko.
