CHENNAI: The Madras Christian College on Saturday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Cognizant Technology Solutions. The agreement, which will help to further industry-academic relations, was signed by principal V.J. Philip and and S. Balakrishan, Director, Cognizant. Cognizant will sponsor programmes, including technical symposia and cultural events, conduct workshops and arrange guest lectures. Experts from Cognizant will conduct skills development workshops. Cognizant will also institute awards for the best outgoing student and the best faculty. Cognizant vice-chairman Lakshmi Narayanan said the agreement was “part of industry-academic collaboration… so that we can have industry-ready professionals coming out of our institutions.” © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
