Kolkata: Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, began its operations from Kolkata on Sunday with a flight to Singapore. Maiden flight There were 28 passengers on board the maiden flight, airline sources said adding it would operate on the first, third and fifth days of the week. Speaking on the occasion, Air India Chairman V. Thulasidas said Air India Express would launch flights to Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok within a fortnight.
