An eight-year-old boy was drowned in a pit at Sector Five of Arilova on Sunday evening. The boy Bhaskara Rao was playing cricket with other children and got into the pit to retrieve the ball that fell into it. By the time he was taken out of it and rushed to hospital he died, according to Circle Inspector A. Narasimha Murthy.
