Aid announced

Thiruvananthapuram: The Travancore Devaswom Board has announced an assistance of Rs.5 lakh to the family of V.M. Suresh Kumar, police constable, who died in an accident while on Sabarimala duty. Devaswom Minister G.Sudharakaran will visit his house in Kottayam on Friday and hand over the assistance. Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy and TDB president C.K. Guptan will also attend the function.— Special Correspondent
