Procedure simplified for tap connection

KARUR: The application procedure for domestic drinking water tap connections has been simplified for residents in town panchayat limits. Now connections will be in place within seven days of application, if technical conditions are met, according to Collector T.N. Venkatesh. Connections will be provided to all applicants in town panchayats against payment of prescribed charges and without any restriction on the number. If any technical problem hinders providing connectivity, then the problems will be overcome and the connection provided within a month of the date of application.
