Youth fatally hit by water tanker

TAMBARAM: A 24-year-old youth was killed on the spot when the two-wheeler he was riding was knocked down by a water tanker lorry on the Medavakkam Main Road on Thursday.

Police said S.Maharajan of Kamarajapuram near Tambaram had gone to a friend’s house in Adambakkam and was returning home.

Near Kovilambakkam, the speeding water tanker hit Maharajan’s vehicle, throwing him down.
