Youth run over by lorry near Tambaram

TAMBARAM: A youth was crushed to death on the spot after being run over by a lorry in Perumbakkam on Sunday.

Police said Shanmugham (28), a mason, of Nesamani Nagar Extension, was riding a motorcycle and was on his way to a construction site.

A lorry that was taking a reverse hit the motorcycle and Shanmugham was run over. Pallikaranai police registered a case.

Case transferred

After preliminary investigations, the case has been transferred to Tambaram Traffic Police (Investigation).
