ANMs counselling: CPI(M) threatens stir

VIZIANAGARAM: CPI(M) district committee secretary M. Krishna Murty on Monday said that the delay in recruitment of contract ANMs would aggravate the prevailing diarrhoea and other epidemic cases in several mandals in the district. Talking to reporters, Mr. Krishna Murty said that the administration had called 322 candidates for counselling on October 13 but without prior intimation to the candidates it was postponed. He said that the party would organise a dharna in support of the ANMs at the Collectorate on October 17 and intensify stir in stages until all the ANMs were given postings.
