Tribals’ protest

Guwahati: Demanding the restoration of their rights in forest areas, tribals staged protests in Assam on Monday. Thirty two buses were damaged and seven passengers, including a two-year-old child, injured in stone throwing. Irked by the ban on entering forests in Assam’s Cachar district, they blocked the National Highway 44.
