THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A review meeting convened at the District Collectorate here on Tuesday by the Thiruvananthapuram East MLA V. Sivankutty directed PWD officials to complete road repair works on a war footing. The PWD Roads executive engineer informed the meeting that the department had taken up 57 works estimated to cost Rs.2.28 crore. While 26 roads have been repaired, work is progressing on another 10. Ward councillors who participated in the meeting pointed out that broken slabs and those removed from roadsides were posing a hazard for motorists and pedestrians. They urged the PWD officials to ensure that the slabs were replaced. District Collector N.
