Bonus for paddy, pulses

Kakinada: Special bonus of Rs.50 per quintal of paddy and Rs.40 per quintal of pulses would be paid to the ryots over and above the minimum support price, according to G.S.R.K.R. Vijayakumar, Joint Collector.

After adding the bonus, he said, the minimum support price for paddy -common variety was Rs.695 per quintal and in case of A- grade variety Rs.725 per quintal.

Similarly for pulses, he said, it was Rs.1,590 per quintal of red gram, Rs.1,740 per quintal each of green gram and black gram.

Sage advise

He advised the ryots to complain to the District supply officer if any rice mill owner or trader refuses to pay the above minimum support price for initiating action against them.
