The Hindu-Young World painting competition

KOCHI: The Hin du-Young World Painting Competition will be held at the Toc H School Indoor Auditorium here on November 24.

There is no entry form or entry fee. All those desirous of participating in the competition (both juniors – class IV to class VII, and seniors – from class VIII to class X) would have to send their drawings, for the preliminary round, by November 1.

The topics for Juniors are: 1) You and your computer, 2) At the swimming pool, 3) Visit to a flower garden, and 4) Kite-flying at the beach.

The topics for Seniors are : 1) Boat ride in a river, 2) Train crossing a bridge, 3) Inside a harbour, and 4) Helping the handicapped.

The painting based on any one of the above topics should be attested by the Principal or the Art Teacher of the institution and should be sent to the Regional General Manager, The Hindu, Post Box no. 1971, NH Bypass, Vyttila Junction, Kochi, 682 019.

There will be three prizes and seven consolation prizes ( in each category) . All the participants will be given participation certificates.
