Easy for Khaja Miyan

Dindigul: Khaja-Miyan Higher Secondary School, Tiruchi, posted an emphatic 4-0 victory over host S.M.B. Matriculation Higher Secondary School in the inaugural match of the fifth annual State-level inter-school football tournament at Dindigul on Friday.

Satheesh Kumar scored a brace and Stephen and Trilokchander scored one goal each.

In another match, American College HSS, Madurai beat St. Mary’s HSS, Dindigul 3-0. Ayyavoo, Shahjahan and Srinivasan scored.

Pungothan KC wins

Pungothan Kabaddi Club, Enathi, beat host PTMT College 40-22 in the final of the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Centenary Kabaddi tournament at Kamuthi on Friday.

In the semifinals, Pungothan Club beat Kovilangalam Kabaddi Club 36-34 and PTMT College beat Seena Thana Club, Kamuthi, 35-20.

Kodai International ‘A’ advances

Host Kodai International School ‘A’ team, M.S.P. Solai Nadar HSS, Dindigul, and St. Paul’s HSS, Salem, entered the quarterfinals of the 21st annual State-level inter-school basketball tournament at Kodaikanal on Friday.
