NSS College in quarterfinals

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NSS College (Manjeri) and Payyannur College (Payyannur) moved into the quarterfinals of the first SAI LNCPE all-Kerala inter-collegiate football tournament here on Saturday. NSS rode on a brace from Nishad (33 & 50) to defeat St. Xavier’s (Thumba) 2-1. Shibu scored the lone goal for St. Xavier’s in the 40th minute. Payyanur overcame Guruvayoorappan (Kozhikode) by a solitary goal. Geenish scored the match-winner.
