Easy for seeds

NEW DELHI: Top-seeded Bhaskar Chakraborty and second-seeded Ashish Sharma had easy first-round victories in the boys’ under-16 section of the Pramod Mahajan State-ranking badminton tournament at the Siri Fort Complex here on Saturday.

The results: Boys (U-16): Bhaskar Chakraborty bt Ashish Kumar 21-7, 21-6; Ashish Sharma bt Shaurya Rawat 21-1, 21-10; Jayank Ahuja bt Aayush 21-8, 21-10; Atul Chouhan bt Jatin Pahuja 21-15, 21-16.

U-13: Yash Nain bt Romit Gupta 21-8, 21-11; Ryan Rodrigues bt Arjun Kaura 21-13, 21-16.
