TIRUPUR: Communication skill is vital for any professional to succeed in his/her career, Subas Pani, Secretary, Union Rural Development Ministry, has said. Speaking at the 10th graduation day of NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute after presenting certificates to students on Monday, Dr. Pani said better communication skill was crucial for client interaction, explaining the designs and coordinating with various players in the trade. He said a stage had come in which application of information technology was important to run an enterprise as well as doing business. One could not manage the company without knowing information technology skills. He asked the students to develop communication skills to come up in their profession. Rural studentsR.C.M. Reddy, chief executive officer of ILFS&CDIL, asked the NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute to reach out to villages to impart technical skills for rural students. Atul Chaturvedi, Additional Secretary, Union Rural Development Ministry, said the students of NIFT-TEA had an edge over others as they had an opportunity to work closely with the industry and asked the students to work hard to give a new dimension to the industry.
