Utkarsh shines

NEW DELHI: Utkarsh Gupta claimed the junior, sub-junior and cadet titles in the Surjit Kaur memorial Open table tennis tournament at the St. Columba’s School here on Wednesday.

Yakshap Jindal and Esha Monga claimed the men’s and women’s title.

The results (all finals): Men: Yakshap Jindal bt Pranshu Gupta 9-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 12-10, 11-3.

Junior boys: Utkarsh Gupta bt Kartik Kukreja 13-11, 3-11, 11-9, 13-11, 9-11, 10-12, 11-8.

Sub-junior boys: Utkarsh Gupta bt Abhishek Jaggi 11-8, 11-7, 11-4.

Cadet boys: Utkarsh Gupta bt Sabhay Virmani 11-4, 11-4, 11-2.

Women: Esha Monga bt Manika Batra 11-13, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7, 11-5, 7-11, 11-6.

Junior girls: Sanya Sehgal bt Manika Batra 11-4, 11-8, 11-7, 10-12, 11-7.
