Blasts case convict dies in prison

Coimbatore: A life convict in the Coimbatore serial blasts cases, Sabur Rehman (34), lodged at the Coimbatore central prison, died on Wednesday afternoon owing to a suspected cardiac arrest.

According to prison sources, he complained of chest pain. After first aid at the prison, he was rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, but died on the way. He was sentenced to life imprisonment on October 24. He was already serving a life term in a case of murder of a Hindu outfit activist. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
