VIZIANAGARAM: Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh Mann told a press conference on Saturday that Kondagorri Sannu, a member of CPI (Maoist), who was found moving suspiciously at Ganji Gedda forest area on the Andhra-Orissa Border was arrested by a combing party and seized medicines, extremist literature, rice and sugar from him. On a tip off from him the police party reached Diviti Guda forest area in the early hours of Saturday and found six members of Koraput Dalam. On seeing the police, they fled the scene leaving behind two 303 rifles, two single barrel guns, 90 rounds, one each of grenade, landmine, claymore flash and detonator, six kit bags, wire bundle, transistor, medicines, etc., Mr. Mann said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
