Village servants threaten agitation

HYDERABAD: The AP Village Servants Association has threatened to launch an agitation during the ensuing Assembly session if the Government failed to honour its assurance of promoting members as village revenue officers. N. Lakshminarayana, general secretary, and two other leaders in a representation to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy here on Sunday also reminded him about the assurance to increase the village servants’ salaries. —Special Correspondent
