SP launches online system

VIZIANAGARAM: Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh Mann on Monday launched the AP Police Messaging System (APPMS). The system would minimise the usage of paper and also help communicate online with other police stations in a few minutes, he said.

At a press conference here, Mr. Mann said that e-mail ID for every police personnel was created for easy communication.

The SP said with the help of Vehicle Tracing System (VTS), vehicles involved in crimes like accidents, hit and run, theft and lost cases could be traced if any person on the road dialled the nearby police station and informed of the incident and the vehicle number at least partially like AP 35 AB.

Police personnel were imparted training in APPMS.
