Cancel pattas to the rich, urges CPI(M)

Sangareddy: The Medak committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist) organised a rally demanding cancellation of pattas given to ineligible persons in Singeetham village of Raikode mandal, here on Monday. The rally culminated at the Collector’s office where the protesters organised a dharna. Committee secretary Chukka Ramulu alleged that many of the rich and well to do families were given house pattas in the village. Collector B.Venkatesam after receiving the memorandum is said to have assured the villagers that a thorough inspection would be held in the village to ascertain the facts.
