Pirates release vessel

NAIROBI: Somali pirates have freed a Taiwanese vessel and its crew, kidnapped almost six months ago off the coast of Somalia, a regional maritime official confirmed here on Monday. Andrew Mwangura, the Coordinator of the East African Seafarers Assistance Program (SAP), said the Ching Fong Hwa 168 and its 12 crew, were freed from a pirate-infested port north of Mogadishu. “The Ching Fong Hwa 168 has been released today off Harardheere. — Xinhua
