Punjab gains three points

AMRITSAR: Andhra made 287 for no loss against host Punjab in its second innings, but the host took three first innings lead points from their drawn encounter of the Ranji Trophy Super league match here on Tuesday.
Skipper Pankaj Dharmani declared Punjab’s innings at 372 for nine, just 38 runs ahead of Andhra, but none of his bowlers could claim a wicket as the Andhra’s top order fought back. Hemal Watekar followed his first-innings century with a well-scripted 100 in the second before retiring hurt. Fellow opener Prasad Reddy finished with an unbeaten 114, his fourth first-class century.
