AREVA expands product portfolio

CHENNAI: AREVA will be setting up a large capacity, state-of-the-art high voltage manufacturing unit at Padappai, near Chennai. This is an expansion of its Perungudi Plant, Chennai. Arcot Veerasamy, Minister for Electricity, Government of Tamil Nadu, laid the foundation stone of the new facility, at an official ceremony, which took place in the presence of AREVA T&D top management — Philippe Guillemot, CEO & Chairman, Ghislain Lescuyer, Executive Vice President BU Products, Karim Vissandjee, CFO & Rathin Basu, Country President India. — Corporate Reporter
