Dhanalakshmi Bank’s net profit up 92 per cent

Thrissur: Dhanalakshmi Bank has posted a net profit of Rs. 13.50 crore in the half-year ended September 30 as against Rs. 7.02 crore during the corresponding period last year, registering a growth of 92.31 per cent.

The operating profit increased from Rs. 16.65 crore to Rs. 25.04 crore, recording a growth of 53.39 per cent.

The total income of the bank increased from Rs. 128.08 crore to Rs. 170.73 crore. Priority sector advances touched 45.81 per cent as against the Reserve Bank of India benchmark of 40 per cent.

Net NPA declined to 1.23 per cent, according to a press release from the bank on Thursday.
