Engineer, three others killed in accident

Kakinada: In a ghastly road accident near Annavaram on the national highway on Friday, Prasada Rao, Assistant Divisional engineer of Electricity, his wife Vanitha, another close relation whose identity is yet to be established besides driver Rajesh were killed.

According to police sources, the engineer along with family members was returning from Visakhapatnam to Vijjesweram in a car when a lorry lost control and collided with it between Bendapudi and Annavaram. While the engineer, his wife and the driver were killed on the spot his close relation was succumbed to injuries at the government general hospital here.

The condition of his two sons, who were admitted to the hospital with grievous injuries, was stated to be serious.

The Tuni rural circle inspector is investigating the case.
