‘Narakasura vadha’ staged

ONGOLE: Hundreds of people thronged the Gandhi road in the wee hours of Friday to witness the ‘Narakasura vadha’ performed by stage artistes. Ongole town has been celebrating Deepawali in this unique style since 1902.Credit goes to Yuvajana Mitra Mandali at Kothapatnam bus stand which has been organising the battle between Krishna and Narakasura to mark Deepawali for more than one hundred years without a break.
