A labourer K. Yadaiah, 38, who left his house at Mamidipally village in Pahadi Sharrieff police station area on Friday night, was found murdered on Saturday morning at a secluded place on the village outskirts. Injuries on the victim indicated that he was beaten with sticks before his head being smashed with a boulder. The police are clueless about the killers and the motive behind the homicide. Student dies in accidentA degree student riding a bike was killed while his friend sitting on the pillion sustained injuries when an A.P.S.R.T.C. bus hit their motorcycle from behind near Usha Industries at Balanagar on Friday. The victim G. Ramesh, 21, was a resident of Padmanagar in Chintal. The injured Kiran was shifted to a private hospital. Fake certificate racket bustedThe city police on Saturday busted a fake educational certificate racket with the arrest of two persons, K. Ramesh, 25, and A. Rama Rao, 49, at Dilsukhnagar. Over 130 forged educational certificates of different courses and universities, 100 blank transfer certificates of various Government colleges and 21 fake rubber stamps were seized from them, according to a press release. Watchman held on rape chargeA septuagenarian watchman was arrested by the Kanchanbagh police on Saturday on charge of raping a 10-year-old girl. The accused Daulat Ali Khan of Hafeezbaba Nagar used to work as watchman in a local garage.
