Sona Polo in semifinals

NEW DELHI: Abhimanyu Pathak scored five goals as Sona Polo defeated Army Polo and Riding Club (APRC) Black 8-5 to make it to the semifinals of the Baria Cup four-goal polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre here on Monday.

Pathak’s effort were supplemented by Jagat Singh (2) and Bhupinder Singh.

For APRC Black, which started with three goals on handicap, Akhil Sirohi and Ishan Singh scored.

Other results:

Sahgal Stud 6 (Dhruvpal Godara 3, Gaurav Sahgal 3) beat Army Service Corps 4 (Tarsem Singh 4).

NDA-Aspen Crew 5 (Atul Gupta 3, Navjit Sandhu 2) beat Navy four-and-a-half (Amit Sangwan 4). — Principal Correspondent
