New Delhi: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the Rs 175-crore Taj Heritage Corridor scam case involving Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati from a court in Lucknow to Delhi or any other State. The petition filed by an Aligarh-based advocate, Ram Mohan Garg, expressed apprehension that the case against the Chief Minister will not progress in a fair manner as the designated CBI judge before whom it has been pending is closely related to senior and influential Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Satish Chandra Mishra. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
